Abstract

1386498 Automatic voltage regulation COMPAGNIE INDUSTRIELLE DES TELECOMMUNICATIONS CIT-ALCATEL 4 Aug 1972 [4 Aug 1971] 36502/72 Heading G3X A voltage regulator circuit includes a series transistor biased by a Zener diode connected across part of an input voltage divider. As shown, a telecommunications relay device OR is supplied with a regulated triggering voltage from an A:C. source connected to terminals E1, E2 of a bridge rectifier PA. The device OR is connected in series with transistors T1, T2 which are normally turned on by their connections with voltage dividing resistors R1-R4. The output voltage is limited by the breakdown of Zener diode ZN, and a capacitor C improves the response to a pulsed input.
