Abstract

1383363 Buoyant bathing suit D BROLLI 3 March 1972 [6 March 1971] 10143/72 Heading A3V A bathing suit comprises two identical buoyant floats 16, 17 to be worn on the chest and back respectively and two identical further floats as 19 to be worn on the wearer's sides. As shown the suit comprises bathing trunks 10 having front and rear reinforced gores 11, 12 and reinforced edges 13 and the various floats are connected to the trunks and to one another by adjustable or elastic belts or ties 14, 15, 18 and 22. Each side float 19 comprises a symmetrical pair of float members 20 and is adjustable in position relative to the trunks. The floats are suitably of expanded polystyrene or polyurethane and each float 16 to 19 contributes one quarter of the total buoyancy thrust.
