Abstract

1,046,224. Swimming fins. B. GIRDEN. July 24, 1963 [Aug. 1, 1962],No. 29394/63. Heading A6D. A swimming fin which comprises a shoe-like member having a web-like fin extending forwardly therefrom, is provided with a pad 25 of buoyant, water impervious material either secured to the sole of the shoe-like member as in Fig. 1, or forming the insole of the foot-receiving pocket 14. The pad preferably comprises expanded polyethylene foam provided with a protective layer of neoprene.
