Abstract

1382481 Thread tensioner MASCHINENFABRIK HEINZ WELLER 24 Jan 1972 [23 Jan 1971] 3284/72 Heading DID In a thread tensioning device of a twisting, spinning or spooling machine, when tension in a thread 2 rises cranked lever 6a, 6b is pivoted with pivotable shaft 7 against the bias of spring 9 to actuate switch 10 to slow the machine speed. When the tension falls the cranked arm is pivoted to actuate switch 11 to raise the machine speed. Spring 9 is attached to an anchorage which is adjustable to vary spring tension. Further arms 6a pivot shaft 7 and arm 6b in response to tension changes in further running threads 2. The switches may be contactless switches.
