Abstract

1381975 Boxes JOHN WADDINGTON Ltd 5 Feb 1973 [5 Feb 1972] 5456/72 Heading B8P A carton of tubular form has a plurality of hexagonal and part-hexagonal cell areas 14 defined by lines of weakening, each line lying at an angle no greater than 40 degrees to the axial direction of the carton so that on folding a blank the cell areas either deflect or can be pushed out of the general planes of the container walls. The carton can have rectangular ends as shown, or hexagonal ends which can be closed by flaps or end caps. One or more of the walls may be plain. The carton may be of carton board or plastics material and have one or more cells replaced by transparent material.
