Abstract

Roofs.-In roofing of the class in which the laths &c. are replaced by slabs of concrete, the slabs 10 are provided with ribs 11 shaped so as to leave wedge-shaped spaces 12 as shown, into which, when slates are used, take fastening-hooks 18, or, when tiles are used, cement is placed. Intermediate slabs 14 of ferro-concrete may be provided resting on projections 15. The ends of the slabs 10 are enlarged as shown at 17, Fig. 6, and secured to light T-iron rafter members 8 by means of cement 16.
