Abstract
1380773 Cooling moulds OWENS-ILLINOIS Inc 21 April 1972 [23 April 1971] 18613/72 Headings F4H and F4U A mould 20 adapted to form articles from heated materials is cooled by a first low temperature, low viscosity fluid coolant under pressure, e.g. R11 at from -40 to -60 F., which is cooled in a heat exchanger 36 by a second fluid coolant, e.g. R502, in a second coolant loop wherein the second coolant is evaporated by an expansion valve 120 within the heat exchanger 36 to absorb the heat from the first coolant and the generated vapour is thereafter passed to a two stage compressor 82, 84, a condenser 98, and subcooler 102 before recirculation to the heat exchanger.
