Partitions on water space.-A partition fitted concentrically around the fire-box or flue of a vertical boiler so as to form an annular circulation space is supported at its top and bottom by a number of lugs welded or bolted to the boiler shell. The partition A built up of overlapping curved sections is supported in forked lugs E, C, the forked ends of the upper lugs having sufficient internal clearance to permit the partition to slide vertically when being inserted or removed. Bolts or studs may be fitted across the forked ends of the upper lugs to prevent vibration of the partition.
