Abstract

1378822 Carrying liquefied gases CHICAGO BRIDGE & IRON CO 13 April 1972 [4 May 1971 8 March 1972] 17124/72 Heading B7A [Also in Division E1] A tank 40, e.g. for storing refrigerated liquids, is supported by a plurality of members 11 pivoted thereto, each member having two legs 12, 13 pivoted to a support base 44 on a ship or barge. The pivotal connections may be formed by pins 19, 25 or by ball joints. Each member 11 may be reinforced by a strut interconnecting the bottom of the legs 12, 13. Temporary, adjustable legs 88, 90 may be used to respectively support the members 11 and the tank during assembly.
