1,161,575. Liquid cargoes transferring. CHICAGO BRIDGE & IRON CO. 23 Dec., 1966 [26 Aug., 1966], No. 57787/66. Heading B8E. [Also in Division E1] An offshore storage tank structure comprises at least three units interconnected by struts, each unit comprising a pedestal fixable to the water-bed and supporting a tank. In Figs. 14 and 15, there are three units each consisting of a generally spherical tank 60 on a hollow pedestal 46a. A hollow body 92 is secured to the pedestal for buoyancy and storage space. The tank pedestals or portions of body 92 may be isolated by partitions. The units are joined together by struts 88, 90 which may be hollow and communicate with respective units. The pedestals are detachably secured to portions 94 embedded in concrete bodies 98.
