Abstract

1378433 Hand stamps ERNST REINER KG FEINMECHANIK UND APPARATEBAU 17 March 1972 [19 March 1971] 12488/72 Heading B6D A hand stamp for cancelling cheques or receipts by impression of one of consecutive numbers and, having a set of tye wheels 6, Fig. 3, setable during upward movement of the type wheel casing 5, Fig. 2, towards a stamp frame 8 by a setting member 11, is provided with means preventing unauthorized repetitive stamping of the same number. The means comprises a member 1 mounted slidably in a web 5<SP>1</SP> of the casing 5 and impression plate 8<SP>1</SP>, whereby for impression of the first correct number the member 1 is displaced into printing position by the underside of the frame 8 and retained in that position by a pawl 2<SP>1</SP> of a lever 2 which engages a lower notch 1<SP>11</SP> on the member 1. Following impression which results in the formation of a control mark by a control type 1<SP>1</SP> on the member 1, the latter is displaced upwardly by the printed surface and the member 1 is retained in the now ineffective printing position by the pawl 2<SP>1</SP> engaging an upper notch 1<SP>11</SP>. The member 1 can only be displaced into a new impression position after the type wheel casing has been allowed to return into abutment with the frame 8 and the setting member 11 has advanced the setting wheels 6 by one integer.
