Type-bar machines; alining for impression.- In machines in which sliding type-bars a are supported by a table e, vertical movement of the type-bars is prevented by the engagement of limbs b or the like with the bottom of the table. The type-bans may be guided by racks c, d and be actuated by bell-cranks g which engage slots f and are connected to levers i operated by the key-levers h. Two converging guides l are arranged at the printing point.
