Abstract

1377990 Thermal switches THERMIKGERATEBAU GmbH & CO 21 Dec 1971 59275/71 Heading H1N A thermal switch comprises a snap-acting circular bowed bimetallic disc 8 mechanically coupled to an assembly 6, 7 including a contact 4, with a toroidal spring 11 concentric with disc 8 holding assembly 6, 7 in each of its two positions. As shown, contact 4 is a bridging contact for fixed contacts 3 connected to leads 12, the joints being covered with sealing compound 13. Spring 11 holds the assembly of insulating member 6 and circular member 7 in position by engaging annular concavities 7a, or 7c, on either side of an annular bead 7b on member 7. In a second embodiment, Fig. 3 (not shown), member 6 is omitted.
