Abstract
1394612 Thermal switches THERMIKGEBATEBAU GmbH & CO 2 May 1972 [3 May 1971] 20314/72 Heading H1N A thermal switch comprises concave-convex snap-action bimetallic disc 5 coaxial with a concavo-convex electrically conductive spring disc 4 carrying a contact 6 which projects through the centre of disc 5 to engage a fixed contact (formed by housing cover 3), disc 5 being freely movable within the housing to reverse its Curvature and overcome the spring resistance of disc 4 to snap contact 6 away from the fixed contact. On cooling, spring disc 4 recloses the contacts.
