Abstract

1376878 Windscreen wipers J BAUT and P JOURNEE 2 May 1973 [31 Oct 1972] 20730/73 Heading A4F [Also in Division E2] A two part coupling 1 for attaching the curved end 4 of a wiper arm to a wiper blade harness 2 comprises a hollow relatively rigid component 7 interlocked with a second, relatively flexible, component 6, both components 6, 7 being pivotal about a common axle 3 secured to the harness 2. An end stop 14 on the flexible component 6 abuts the end of the wiper arm, portion 13 being flexed prior to wiper arm disconnection. The relative positioning of the two components 6, 7 is maintained by a transverse bar on one component which engages in a transverse groove in the other component. The . components 6, 7 may be of plastics e.g. reinforced polyamide for component 7 and acetal resin for component 6.
