Abstract

1433668 Windshield wiper assembly SWF-SPEZIALFABRIK FUER AUTOZUBEHOER GUSTAV RAU GmbH 4 March 1974 [2 March 1973] 9562/74 Heading A4F [Also in Division E2] A wiper arm is attached to the main yoke 10 of a wiper assembly by means of a plastics member 20 which is retained in a rectangular aperture 12 in the main yoke 10 by resilient projections 21. A resilient tongue 22 partially covers opposed bores 14 in the yoke 10, into which bores 14 is inserted a bearing pin (17) Fig. 2, (not shown) of a wiper arm. The tongue 22 is, therefore deflected until a groove (18) in the pin (17) is engaged. Release of the pin (17) is effected by depression of an actuating pin which may be integral with the free end of the tongue (22) Fig. 5, (not shown) or may comprise a separate member 32 which engages within aperture 23 in the member 20 and projects through an aperture 13 in the yoke 10. The assembly may be provided for vehicle windscreens, head-lamps and rear or side windows.
