Abstract

1376519 Colour development FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 16 Oct 1972 [15 Oct 1971] 47663/72 Heading G2C Development and bleach-fixing of exposed silver halide colour photographic material is followed by treatment with an oxidizing solution containing 0À3-3 gm/l of a ferricyanide. The bleach-fix solution may contain 50-300 gm/l of oxidizing agent and 1-300 gm/l of fixing agent. The oxidizing agent may be an aminopoly carboxylic acid - ferric salt, tetraminecarbonatocobaltic nitrate, or ferric chloride. The ferricyanide oxidizing solution may also contain another oxidizing agent, e.g. persulphuric, hydrochlorous, chlorous or chloric acid or salt, hydrogen peroxide or iodine. It may have a pH of 3-10. The ferricyanide oxidation may be followed by reduction with a solution containing 0À1-15 gm/l of an agent having an oxidation potential not exceeding 100 mV with respect to a saturated calomel electrode and having a pH of 2-8.
