Abstract

1351450 Photographic silver bleaching solution AGFA-GEVAERT 6 Aug 1971 [21 Sept 1970] 44875/70 Heading G2C A developed silver image in a metallic silver containing photographic element is bleached so as to completely remove the silver image with a solution containing an alkali metal or ammonium dichromate as oxidizing agent, and a watersoluble iodide, the weight ratio of dichromate to iodide being between 50:1 and 1:1. The iodide may be potassium iodide. The element may be a photographic multilayer colour material. The solution may also contain an alkali metal chloride or bromide e.g. KBr.
