Abstract
1376310 Phosphating PYRENE CHEMICAL SERVICES Ltd 27 April 1973 20205/73 Addition to 1376309 Heading C7U The aqueous acidic replenishment solution of the Specification 1376309 is modified to contain the following, by weight ratios:- P 2 O 5 = 1, Zn = 0À2-0À7, NO 3 = greater than 0À08 up to 0À3, and, if present in the treatment solution, F = 0À02-0À20. The replenishment solution is added in addition to a replenishment mixture containing at least some of the ClO 3 e.g. as NaClO 3 , and a neutralizing agent, e.g. NaOH. If the treatment solution contains a coating refining agent, e.g. α-hydroxy acids, glycero phosphates and condensed phosphates, then this is also included in the replenishment solution. The treatment solution is used on steel and aluminium surfaces.
