137,548. Richards, T. E. Nov. 15, 1917. Roofs.-A roof truss is made of main rafters a', a' differing in length and of a tie-beam together with a king-post b<1>. The component beams and posts are wooden tubes and the junctions are made by means of pairs of metal cheeks h having radial directing ribs and channel seats for the ridge-beam. The cheeks are secured by coupling- bolts p<1>, and slots therein are engaged by tongueplates o on the beams.
