Abstract

1375393 Dispensing boxes CHAU CHIN LYE 1 May 1972 [6 May 1971] 13433/71 Heading B8P A box for dispensing elongate articles has a slide 3 carrying an arm 4 that raises some of the articles when a top flap 5 is raised to uncover an aperture 6 and the slide is drawn upwardly. The side 2 of the box is cut away for half its length from the top to enable a thumb grip (11, not shown) to be pushed up to raise the slide. A member 9 forms part of a channel in which the slide moves and a lower edge 10 acts as a stop which engages the arm 4. The slide may be of plastic. Either the top or bottom of the box may have a sliding flexible cover (22, Fig. 5, not shown) to uncover an opening for filling the box. The box may be of plastics or metal if re-usable or folded from cardboard or plastics sheet if not reusable. The cardboard may have a foil wrapper glued thereto. The box may be air-tight and water-tight.
