Abstract

1374904 Travelling grates ALLIS-OHALMERS CORP 15 Aug 1972 [1 Sept 1971] 38018/72 Heading F4B A chain-link assembly forming part of a grate conveyer comprises a chain link 36 pivotally connectable to other links in the conveyer, and a separate, non-integral cover member 50 mounted in overlying relationship to the link 36. The link 36 comprises two side members 38 forming a yoke 40, and the members 38 converging at the other end to form a neck portion 42, with a bearing passage 46, the neck portion 42<SP>1</SP> of one link being received in the yoke portion 40 of another link. The cover member 50 is formed with a plurality of slotted passageways 54 which permit the passage of gases therethrough. The chain-link assembly forms part of a conveyer 10, the two assemblies 14A, 14B conveying the grate formed by grate members 12A, 12B, 12C.
