Abstract

1315604 Chains BENTFORS & FREDRIKSON AB 18 Aug 1971 38816/71 Heading E2F [Also in Division F2] In a universally-jointed conveyer chain having a number of identical ball-ended forked links 1, 2 universally pivotally connected by vertically mounted cylindrical blocks 6 and a split tube-like pins 11, the forked portion 3 of each link has an upwardly tapered form corresponding to a co-operating conveyer trackway 13-15 whereby the conveyer chain is prevented from riding out of the track when negotiating curved sections of the trackway. The split tubelike pins 11 are force-fitted into the forks 3 which have a projection 12 engaged with the slot 10 of the pin 11, the pins 11 being serrated or knurled on their outer surface to improve engagement of the pins in the forks.
