Abstract

1374780 Antistatic treatment for photographic materials KONISHIROKU PHOTO INDUSTRY Co Ltd 17 Dec 1971 [18 Dec 1970] 58664/71 Heading G2C [Also in Division C2] Antistatic compounds for use in a light-sensitive silver halide photographic emulsion or element or in a photographic treatment bath (e.g. a developing, stop, fixing or water mark preventing solution) are of formula:- wherein each of R 1 , R 3 , R 5 and R 7 independently represents an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; each of R2 and R6 independently represents (i) an alkyl group which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, hydroxy or alkoxy, (ii) an aryl, aralkyl or aryloxyalkyl group the alkyl portion of which is unsubstituted or hydroxy-substituted, and the aryl portion of which is unsubstituted or ring-substituted; or (iii) a heterocyclic group; and R 4 represents a divalent group.
