Abstract

1373384 Tape dispensers H ROTHENBERGER 16 Dec 1971 [17 Dec 1970] 58543/71 Heading A4G [Also in Division B8] A portable adhesive tape dispenser has a leaf spring 14 which is deflected to the chain dotted position by the tension in the tape when it is applied to a surface by pressure roller and which serves to clamp the tape against an abutment 15 when the tape is not being applied. On completion of a tape application, the dispenser is pivoted anti-clockwise and the tape cut by an angled serrated blade 11 whereupon the spring 14 clamps the tape and causes its free end to withdraw onto the roller 9.
