Abstract
1373323 Pressurized dispensers A OSBORNE 22 Dec 1972 [12 Jan 1972] 59443/72 Heading F1R [Also in Division A5] A vaginal-anal applicator for dispensing medicament from a pressurized container through a valve, comprises a cap 12 having a valve receiving member 34 adapted to engage the valve and defining with a tube member 36 a flow passage through the cap, an actuator finger member 28 movable relative to the cap for opening the valve, a dispensing tube 14 releasably engaging the cap, and a housing member 16 releasably engaging the tube 14, the tube 14 and member 16 being movable relative to the cap from a storage position to an operative position in which they can be inserted into a body cavity. The finger member 28 is integrally attached to the wall 26 of the cap so as to be movable inwardly to open the valve, downward movement of member 28 being limited by a flange 40. The tube 14 comprises a base member 42 in which a tube member 50 is releasably secured. Pivotal movement of tube 14 and housing member 16 about actuator tube member 36 is limited by a flange 52 which engages against flanges carried by a finger member 28 in the operative position of the applicator.
