Abstract

1373216 Clocks BUNKER RAMO CORP 23 Nov 1971 [26 March 1971] 54437/71 Heading G3T [Also in Division G1] A measuring-instrument 3 is carried by a support 2 coupled to a side wall of a housing 1 and is positioned in the space between the support 2 and base 1a. A source of light 12 is also located in the space and an opaque scale 5 is located in front of the support 2 within the housing 1 so that light passes through a light-permeable portion of the support 2 to illuminate the scale. The instrument is coupled to and drives indicating means 8 located in front of the support 2. The instrument may be a clock with its dial 5 snapped into recesses in a cylindrical wall 2b of the support or glued thereto. The support 2 may comprise a single piece of synthetic material which transfers light e.g. an acrylic resin, formed with a flange 2c. A cover 9 is held by a clamping ring 10 engaging a flange 1b of the housing 1 with a reflecting ring 11 seated between the cover 9 and flange 2c.
