Abstract

1372106 Gas discharge display panels THOMSON-CSF 29 Dec 1971 [30 Dec 1970] 60545/71 Heading H1D An apertured insulating matrix located between slabs 1 and 4 of a gas-discharge display panel, at least one of which is transparent and each carrying orthogonal conductor arrays 2 and 5 covered by insulating layers 3 and 6, is formed by orthogonal arrays of insulating strips 15 and 16 each orthogonal to its associated array of electrodes. The strips may be of glass, enamel, silicon resin or an organic polymer. The slabs 1 and 4 are secured together by a seal 8. The arrays of strips 15 and 16 may be in contact or (Fig. 4, not shown) slightly separated by spacers adjacent the seal 8.
