Supports. - A motor-cycle is raised on to the rear-wheel stand a by means of a hand-lever b fulcrumed on a bolt c carried by a plate d pivoted to the hub. The plate d is secured by a clip f, Fig. 3, to the leg a of the stand. The lever b can be swung outwards from the pivot bolt c against a spring c<1> so as to clear a catch or abutment e mounted on the plate. In the operative position, the lever b rests against the rounded edge of the ca,tch e, which supports it from falling. In operation, the stand a is let down into the position shown in Fig. 4, and the lever b is first pushed forward until it rides over the rounded edge of the catch e and engages with the flat portion, as shown in Fig. 3. It is then pulled forward to lever the machine up on to the stand. Specifications 2479/97, 3545/99, and 13364/15 are referred to.
