Lever load-handling appliances. -A combination tool for use as a lifting jack, rim contracting tool and a combined wheel and hub remover, consists of a multiple armed device the arms radiating approximately from a common centre and provided with hooks at their ends, one of arms being adjustable axially. The extender arm which is also used as a lifting jack is formed of lazy-tong levers A operated by a screw H in a bracket F, inclined slots F<2> guiding projections on the nuts E which are fixed to the lower levers. A cap D is provided for the expanding levers and this cap has removable hooks A<10>. A guide rod A<9> and vertical guide slots are provided for the lever-lifting arrangement. The other hooked arms B are pivoted at K<2> to the bracket F and are disposed as shown in Fig. 4 when used for the purpose of a rim contracting tool and as shown in Fig. 5 when used as a combined wheel and hub remover.
