Abstract
1371771 Gas ejectors JAMES HOWDEN & CO Ltd 20 Sept 1971 [26 Sept 1970] 45971/70 Heading F1E [Also in Division A5] A gas ejector for storage compartments of ships (see Division A5), comprises a nozzle 3A supplied with inert gas through a pipe 6 to induce a flow of gas from the compartment through a tube 12. In a modification, Fig.5 (not shown), the inert gas is supplied via a valve (14) to a nozzle (16) which enters an enlarged portion of a purge pipe (5). In Fig.2, the pipe 12 is mounted on the coaming of the hatch 8. Th ejection assembly may be portable and be fitted in the coaming as required.
