Abstract

1371256 Piston slide shoes ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 21 Nov 1972 [26 Nov 1971] 53758/72 Heading F1A [Also in Division F2] To compensate for tilting of a shoe 1 of a piston 6 relative to a guide surface 4, (as shown in a radial piston machine) a pair of closed grooves 9, 11 in surface 3 are connected via ducts 20, 21 to a main duct 14 communicating with the cylinder 7 and a laterally movable cylindrical member 19 in duct 14 responds to the drop in pressure when one groove (9, as shown) lifts from the surface 4, to close duct 20, while duct 21 remains open, producing a counteracting moment. The grooves 9 and 11 together with a further groove 10 also serve to lubricate the co-acting surfaces 3 and 4. The member 19 has a bore 18 therethrough and is located by a sleeve 15 and pin 16. Grooves 12, 13 extending the full width of surface 3 prevent the transmission of pressure between grooves 9, 10 and 11.
