Abstract
1366997 Gas turbine flame tubes STALLAVAL TURBIN A B 13 Jan 1972 [14 Jan 1971] 1589/72 Heading F1L A gas turbine flame tube 7 has dilution air holes in the wall thereof, some of the holes 9a being directed radially towards the axis of the tube whereas others 9b are arranged in pairs inclined equally but in opposite directions to the radial direction, so that the air-flowing through the holes forms a symmetrical pattern. The flow areas of the holes may differ, e.g. by providing them with replaceable sleeves 11 within sleeves 10 or 12 welded to the flame tube wall.
