1366992 Ceramics; ferrites INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORP 6 Jan 1972 [8 Feb 1971] 554/72 Heading C1J Ceramic powder of, e.g. ferrites, nitrides, carbides, silicides, is formed into a shape which is oversized but otherwise substantially that of the final body by an amount sufficient to permit the escape of gases during heating, calcined, further compacted and then sintered to form the ceramic body, Compaction can be isostatic. The ferrite specified is (Ni1-#Zn#O)1-x(Fe2O3)1+x where # = 0À68 and x = -0À001.
