1366607 Rotary positive-displacement machines APPLIED POWER INDUSTRIES Inc 10 Nov 1972 [11 Nov 1971 2 Nov 1972] 52100/72 Heading F1F In an hydraulic sliding-vane motor the rotor 28 is relieved of axial loading by being coupled to a rotary sleeve 26 by splines 23, 29, the sleeve having internal splines 30 for engagement with a power - output shaft (not shown) and being held against longitudinal displacement by rings 36, 37. When the ring 37 is removed the sleeve can be extracted leftwards of Fig. 3. Inlet and outlet passageways 80, 82 for the working fluid communicate with chambers 40, 42, 44, 46 through ports 92, 94 and the inner ends of slots 48 for the vanes 50 through ports 96, 98. Dummy ports in the form of recesses 92, 94, 104, 106 are provided to balance the axial pressures. The pressures on the inner sides of the vanes assist compression springs 56.
