Abstract
1366518 Reinforced bearings in concrete slabs or beams FRIEDR REMY NACHFOLGER KG 29 Nov 1971 [28 Nov 1970] 55236/ 71 Heading E1W A reinforced concrete slab or beam has one or more longitudinally extending ribs 4, 29 which terminate short of the longitudinal extent of the slab. The overhanging portion of the slab provides a portion for bearing on a wall or column 6 and includes additional cantilever reinforcement beams arranged longitudinally in the region of each rib. The reinforcement beams are connected to the lower reinforcement rods 11, 31 of the rib by at least one tie rod 9a, b; 10a, b extending perpendicularly to the cantilever reinforcement beams. The tie rods may be welded to the reinforcement beams and may be in the form of rods. Strips or continuous steel loops. The reinforcement beams may be U-section girders separate or secured back to back or may be Z section girders or bent strips of steel with the planes of the strips normal to the slab. Horizontal ribs 12 may be stamped out of the strips to key to the concrete. The slabs or beams may be T or double T-section or the rib may be parallel to and extending from one edge of the slab in which a recess is formed for the opposite edge of an adjacent slab. The ribs may include lattice reinforcement 15 and the. plane of the slabs reinforced by an intersecting grid of metal rods.
