Abstract

1364402 X-ray diffraction apparatus EUROPEAN ATOMIC ENERGY COMMUNITY 19 Jan 1973 [19 Jan 1972] 2967/73 Heading H5R A curved crystal monochromator for X-ray diffraction apparatus comprises a curved crystal 1 carried on a head secured to an adjustable mount, the mount including a column whose length can be varied by a screwed bush 11 and which can be rotated about its axis by virtue of a cylindrical part held in a bush 6. At the top of the column is a slide 12 along which the crystal head can be adjusted. The crystal can also be tilted about an axis 10 by means of screw 9 and about the axis of a spindle 18 by means of a screw 16 and a lever arm 17. In use, the incident beam is parallel to the slide 12.
