Abstract

The clamp comprises a pedestal (1) which is screwed to a base plate (2), the latter pref. movable linearly along a guide rail. The pedestal (1) has a vertical support (4), with a transverse bore in which a rotatable cylindrical block is held, this block forming the first clamp jaw (6) and the second jaw (9) associated with an adjustment screw (14), which is rotated so that the support rod is gripped between them. The rotation of the adjustment screw (14) is translated into a linear movement of the second jaw (9) via connection rods (10) passing through the first jaw (6) and acted upon by spring means.
