Abstract
1362726 Pneumatic separation PRAT-DANIEL-POLMAN and SOFRESID SOC FRANCAISE D'ETUDE D'INSTLLATIONS SIDERURGIQUES 14 Jan 1972 1842/72 Heading B2H Apparatus for classifying the particles of a granular product comprises an inclined surface 1 for receiving the product and from which the product can free fall, and a suction duct beneath the inclined surface and subdivided by partitions 2, 3 and 4 into a plurality of superimposed ducts, the front edges of the partitions defining a surface of parabolic crosssection. In operation, the fine particles become concentrated at the inside of the falling layer A, which is of substantially parabolic crosssection, and are drawn into the suction duct while the coarser particles continue their free fall. A second separation zone consisting of an inclined plate 15 and partitions 16, 17 and 18 may be provided below the first.
