1362002 Converting linear to rotary motion C O HANSEN MASKINFABRIK A F 1970 A G 13 Sept 1971 [14 Sept 1970] 42521/71 Heading F1D A fluid operated actuator, for converting the linear motion of a piston 8 into rotary motion of an output coupling member 6, comprises a rod 1 having an externally threaded part 3 which cooperates with internal threads 4 of a cylinder 2, the rod 1 being hollow and being connected by axial splines 5 to the coupling member 6 which is itself hollow, the hollow part overlapping the screw-threaded parts 3 and 4. The rod 1 is axially movable by means of splines 5 with respect to the coupling member 6 which has a flange 10 located so as to engage a gasket 7 so that rotational movement of member 6 is permitted but axial movement prevented.
