Abstract

1361276 Fluid pressure servo-systems AUTOMOBILES M BERLIET 9 Aug 1971 [12 Aug 1970] 37256/71 Heading G3P [Also in Division F1] In a system for controlling the fuel pump of a naturally-aspirated diesel engine so that fuel supply increases with increased engine speed over a low-speed range, air flow through the engine intake is detected by oppositely-facing probes 6, 7 the pressure differential in which is amplified by two pure fluid proportional amplifiers 10, 11 arranged in cascade. The amplifiers have their power jets supplied with air from an accumulator via line 18, and the output pressure is applied to diaphragm 14 controlling fuel pump rack 3.
