1360095 Bottles and cans of nitrile polymers MONSANTO CO 24 Sept 1971 [24 Sept 1970 12 Aug 1971] 44641/71 Addition to 1232106 Heading B8D [Also in Division C3] A container suitable for beverages under pressure is in the form of a generally cylindrical body having an impermeable closure means, has an average wall thickness of 0À3-1À5 mm. and is made of a copolymer, having specified physical properties, of at least 60% by wt. of an unsaturated nitrile with up to 40% of a comonomer other than an ester of an alkenic carboxylic acid. The container may be a bottle having a stress-reducing concave bottom and a closure such as a crown cap. It may alternatively be a can, also having a concave bottom and sealed for example by a roll-on metal lid with a pull tab for opening.
