1359164 Pilot operated pressure regulators ZENITH CARBURETTER CO Ltd 17 April 1972 [15 April 1971] 9458/71 Heading G3P [Also in Division F1] In a valve assembly for controlling the flow of air or fuel-air mixture from a carburetter 27 to an I.C. engine intake manifold 22, a stem 34 on the diaphragm 16 opens a check valve 33, when the suction in the diaphragm chamber 13 reaches a predetermined value, so that the suction can act on the diaphragm 17 to move the valve 35 and allow flow through the outlet opening 25 from the inlet opening 24. The predetermined value of suction is adjustable by the spring abutment 32.
