1357889 Riveting; jointing by stamping PLESSEY CO Ltd 28 Oct 1971 [10 Nov 1970] 53314/70 Headings B3Q and B3U [Also in Division B5] In a fluid actuated riveting tool or crimping tool for electrical connections the piston element 2 has a relief passage 5 with a relief valve 6 so that the pressure applied to the tool during its approach stroke is limited, the exit 8 to the passage 5 being blocked off during the operating stroke to enable a higher pressure to be applied. The exit may be blocked off by a cylinder end cover 7 which is adjustably mounted on cylinder 1.
