Abstract

1357447 Clips PLASTESTRIP Ltd 25 April 1972 [10 June 1971] 27350/71 Heading E2B A W-shaped spring clip has its outer legs shorter than its inner legs the inner legs being joined by a substantially ring shaped bow, the bow providing means for resiliently engaging a longitudinally extending groove of a cover strip for a joint across which the clip spans. The cover strip 14 having arms 15, 16 extends along the joint between building parts 10, 11 and has a stem comprising legs 17 defining the groove 18 resiliently accepting the bow 5 connecting the inner legs of the clip. The outer legs have at their free ends, outwardly bent portions 7 having teeth or serrations to engage the building parts 10, 11. The inner strip 14 is of extruded plastics or metal or alloy. The clip is of stainless steel or of metal, with a corrosion-resistant plating or plastics coating, or of a plastics material. The strips 14 may be held by a series of clips or a single extruded clip of equal length.
