Abstract

A rectangular strip of metal has two U shaped slits cut through its thickness. Each slit has its legs parallel with the long sides of the strip and these legs are longer for one U shape. Both shapes are arranged with their open ends facing each other and a space is left between them. The longer inner tongue (6) is folded back over the shorter tongue (5) to give a loop at the folded end. The longer outside portion (8) is similarly folded back over the shorter portion (9), giving a loop at the folded end. Both parts are then bent at right angles.
