Abstract

The cardboard base section of box is folded from a single stamped out sheet, and is of rectangular shape. It consists of a rectangular outer bottom layer (2) to which are attached outer sides (4). Inner sides (6, 7) are attached to the outer sides, and one of these inner sides (7) is extended by an inner bottom layer (9). The other inner side has a strip (13) which joins with the inner bottom layer (9) during assembly. The box is assembled and held together by a system of end pieces with flaps attached to them and extension flaps on the ends of the outer sides. The inner sides and bottom layer are reduced in length to accommodate the thickness of the end piece material.
