Abstract

The electrical chassis or enclosure is formed from a single stamped and folded metal sheet. The overall rectangular shape is achieved by folding four cut-to-shape sides (3, 5) inward, a further edge fold (11) engaging with partly pressed out tongues (41) in two of the sides. The pressed out section is rectangular and fits around the inside of the side panel lip trapping it in a two pronged fork. The sides are further held by matching bosses (40) and holes (42) in the sides and side lips. The boss may be pressed into the rectangular tongue.
