Abstract

The two part (10, 11) conduit is for electrical cables has one part being sprung into position to form a complete enclosure that is safe from the point of view of access and projection. The two parts are interlocked by a simply shaped tongue and groove on the inside surfaces of the conduit which can be sprung apart using a simple lever such as a screwdriver. The conduit may alternatively be in one piece with a hinged point formed by thinning the conduit wall in the corner opposite the interlocking edge. The interlocking tongue and groove are elastically deformable and consist of a simple 'U' shaped extrusion (16) mating with a tongue (21) and groove (17).
