Abstract
1357401 Developing direct positive emulsions EASTMAN KODAK CO 26 Aug 1971 [31 Aug 1970 30 June 1971] 40118/71 Heading G2C A process of developing an imagewise exposed photographic direct-positive fogged silver halide emulsion layer comprises treating the layer with a silver halide developer solution in the presence of a bis-triazolium salt or triazolium inner salt. The triazolium salt may be present in the silver halide emulsion layer or a layer adjacent thereto or in the developer solution. Examples of the salt given are 1, 10-dithiadecamethylene bis-3- (1, 4-diphenyl-1, 2, 4, -triazolium p-toluene sulphonate); 3, 3'(N, N'-decamethylene-dianilino) bis (1, 4-diphenyl-1, 2, 4-triazolium tosylate) and anhydro-3-hydroxy-1, 4-diphenyl-1, 2, 4- triazolium hydroxide inner salt.
